Cookie Policy
Last Updated: September 2026
At Tebbys (accessible via https://tebbys.com), this page explains the small files this website stores on your device, what each type is for, and how to switch off the ones you do not want.
Cookies are easy to be vague about, so this page names each category in use and says what it does. Nothing here identifies you by name, and nothing collected through them is sold on.
By continuing to use the site you agree to the use of cookies as described below. If something is unclear, email [email protected] and we will explain it.
Cookies at a Glance
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Why we use them | To keep the cart and checkout working, to remember preferences, and to see how the site is used. |
| Personal identification | None. Cookies do not tell us who you are. |
| Third parties involved | The payment gateway and our analytics provider. |
| Turning them off | Through your browser, at any time. Checkout needs the essential ones. |
| Data sold | Never. |
What a Cookie Is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so it can recognize the same browser on the next page or the next visit. It is how a cart survives a click, and how a site avoids asking the same question twice.
The Types We Use
| Type | What it does | Can it be switched off |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Keeps the cart, the checkout session, and basic security working. | The site cannot function without these. |
| Functional | Remembers preferences such as a dismissed banner. | Yes, with a small loss of convenience. |
| Analytics | Counts visits and shows which pages are used, in aggregate. | Yes. |
| Marketing | Measures whether a campaign brought someone to the site. | Yes. |
Third-Party Cookies
Two sets of cookies on this site are not ours. The payment gateway sets its own during checkout for fraud prevention and session security, and our analytics provider sets its own to count visits. Their handling of that data is governed by their policies, and what we do with the information afterward is covered on our Privacy Policy page.
How Long They Last
Session cookies disappear when you close the browser. Persistent cookies stay for a set period, typically from a few days for a functional preference up to around two years for an analytics identifier, and you can clear them at any point without waiting for them to expire.
Managing and Disabling Cookies
Every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies from its settings or preferences menu, usually under privacy. You can block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, or clear what is already stored.
Blocking essential cookies will stop the cart and checkout from working, so if the site starts behaving oddly after a settings change, that is usually the cause.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the tools on the site change. The version in force is the one dated at the top of the page.
